Product: Adaptive Brake Lights

All vehicles are equipped with brake lights and third brake lights and its function is to let the trailing driver knows that your vehicle is slowing down. The present equipment fail to inform the trailing driver how fast you decelerate which is crucial information when both vehicles are moving at high speed on the freeway. Rear collision happened generally due to the front vehicle apply emergency brake and decelerate rapidly.

Adaptive Brake Lights system uses the Gravity Sensor to measure braking force and alert the trailing driver how fast you decelerate your vehicle using the duration of flashing brake lights and/or hazard lights.

Warning levels

The EU licensing authority has recently approved this technology the Mercedes Benz S Class is now the first car to feature this innovative technology. Studies on braking signal system documented in EC Standards can be found at TRABS-WP29-GRE-52-35e and TRANS-WP29-GRE-53-02e.
